Dear Gap, The Petite XS is not true. The dress is lovely overall. Looks like denim but very lightweight and soft. Nice tiny embroidered flowers and lace detail. I love this design so much, but it definitely runs very large. I ordered a small, my usual GAP size, and it was much too big. I'll be returning it and trying both an XS and XXS. I love that it's 100% cotton, but was disappointed that the lining is 100% polyester…for this price, I expected cotton. Still, I love the style enough to reorder and will be replacing the lining with cotton myself.

Super soft and lined half way up. Flattering for all body types. I am 5'3" and 130lbs. The small was good with some room in the midsection maybe could have gotten an XS but that wouldn't hang as well..also bizarre bc I'm not an XS. So I think the sizes are being altered again. Anyway, kept the Small. Happy with it. Really nice blue denim. Looks great with belts too. Recommend!

Love the embroidery, material and the details. The shoulders are a bit loose, so I will need to have them tailored. This may work for those who want to lower the straps for a different look - It kind of shows in one of the model pics. For me, it gets a little annoying fidgeting with them.

I got my usual medium, but the bust/shoulders were massive! The straps won't stay on my shoulders and there's massive gaping in the front and back. I actually love the dress so I'm super disappointed that the fit is so off. The rest of the dress fits as a expected and doesn't leave room to try sizing down. I'm trying to figure out if I can alter it in a way to make it functional and not ruin the lace, but as of now , its not wearable. Huge bummer - generally the rest of the dress is super pretty and lightweight. Perfect for summer...

#sweepstakes I wanted so badly to love this dress (LOVE the design). I'm 5'6" (about 125 lbs) and ordered a size Small Petite so the length looks like on the model (with it did... meaning Standard would have been way too long). Because it was a Petite, the torso was a bit too small for me, but not a deal breaker. I returned only because the blue was too saturated for my taste :-( Would have preferred a deeper blue (personal preference). I also wished it came with the same "string" that secure the bra straps (just like on the cami version of the dress. LOVED that feature. Genius)
